Its intention is to be a community of loving kindness guided by Jewish principles.
HaMakom means The Place. It is one of God's names. Our mission is to be a community of loving-kindness guided by Jewish principles. Following the model of a chavurah, a small, informal fellowship, we are dedicated to a form of study and worship that embraces all Jewish denominations. We believe that each flowing stream has much to teach us. HaMakom is fully inclusive and deeply committed to social action. All are encouraged to participate in our on-going annual schedule of activities.

Your Support
Please consider joining us this year at HaMakom. As a small congregation with a big focus on community participation, we rely upon our membership to sustain HaMakom physically and financially.
Part of the amazing intimacy and connection people experience with us is directly due to that community involvement and commitment.
We have lower dues than other congregations since we have a dedicated, passionate volunteer base. No one will be turnedaway due to economic incapacity. Others more able are encouraged to support HaMakom throughout the year.

HaMakom Community Pesach Sedar
Letter from a congregant

"I attended the Seder last night, and I want you and HaMakom to know that it was the most wonderful seder I ever attended–the warmth and feeling of inclusiveness were especially terrific. Cindy and her music and singing make it a joy, Rabbi Malka was so thoughtful and elegant, and the food was delicious! Thank you to everyone for this extraordinary evening."
